Text will sometimes stutter loading. (Eg. Will type a few words. Stop. Entire sentence will pop up.)
Works with an annoying text stutter but not enough to ruin the enjoyment.
偶發性於讀取或儲存時當機
有使用中文補丁 v4, 基本上可以遊玩
Manual save process will occassionally break, with you becoming unable to click on the yes/no buttons to proceed with the save. Controls than become un-responsive, requiring a game restart to correct the issue.
Has performance slowdowns while changing scenes and waiting to text choices to appear.
Would not recommend playing on the Steam Deck at the moment at largely default settings. In general it is a poor playing experience. Did not experiment with outside tweakers to attempt to fix the issues.

due to inconsistent performance between desktop & gaming mode i can't recommend g senjou no maou
i managed to get the OP movie working by installing the quartz.dll with protontricks and running this script with mf-install
WINEPREFIX="/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/377670/pfx" PROTON="/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/compatibilitytools.d/GE-Proton7-30/" ./mf-install.sh -proton
while g senjou no maou worked great on desktop mode for whatever reason when playing in gaming mode the Framerate takes a nosedive its horrible
this is such a damn shame becaause saving, loading, fullsceen mode, and with some tinkering i managed to get the OP movie woking too but with the issue of inconsistent performance between desktop & gaming mode i'd just run it on a windows dual-boot instead

Save works, but the screen freezes when trying to load.

The screen became a grey box but could recover with Alt+Enter
There was obviously some regression between Proton 5.13 and 6.3, at least for this hardware setup.

Works only on windowed mode
Fullscreen doesnt works, game crashes on fullscreen
No issue as long as you stay on windowed mode
The same fullscreen crashes as reported by others is still present on Proton 6.3-5
The game crashes when in fullscreen
If you don't mind having to stay in windowed mode, the game can be played from start to finish with no issue. I did not personally mind that much because the font was to big in fullscreen for my liking anyway (27" screen). If playing fullscreen is a requirement for you to enjoy the game, you're better off playing on Windows or skip the game entirely.

If you don't mind reading in windowed mode you can give it a shot at running this on Linux.
It rapidly shakes vertically and is fixed by dragging the window. Toggling the game into full screen crashes the game and is fixed by deleting your saves.
When the window shakes, it's hard to click anything..
I have a well above the requirements CPU and capable enough integrated graphics. This game has noticeable lag when skipping the text. It's almost unbearable.
Toggling the game into full screen mode, makes the game crash upon execution.
This title does not deserve the "SILVER" rating considering, that you can't use it in full screen and you have to potentially delete ALL of your save data to relaunch this game.
I've tried running a few visual novels on my Linux laptop. Unfortunately, many of those are not running as expected. Compatibility on visual novels need to be improved or else VN readers WILL stick with Windows. People claiming, that "The only thing, that holds gaming on Linux back is DRM and Anti-Cheat" have been proven wrong based on my experience.

Can't be played even on windowed mode and low-resolution
I've tried env WINEPREFIX="$STEAM_FOLDER/root/steamapps/compatdata/$GAME_ID/pfx" $STEAM_FOLDER/root/steamapps/common/'Proton 5.13'/dist/bin/wine winecfg to tweak it's windowed mode and it's resolution but to no avail. I've tried combining it with launch options "PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 LIBGL_DRI3_DISABLE=1 %command%" which worked well in Fruit of Grisaia, but still not working.
Slight trial and error as a Linux gaming noob trying to find the best way to use winesteam and finally found lutris.
I used Winesteam through Lutris and it worked like a charm
Game starts up in fullscreen but in with the screen size of windowed but corrected with ALT+ENTER though changing from the options menu causes the screen to disappear including in the activity menu.
"Modal windows" would temporarily disable fullscreen and the pressable area on screen were somewhere else than the buttons themselves, making you hunt them with your mouse.

If window resolution does not match desktop resolution yes/no prompts on save and exit are misaligned in full screen, click somewhere around the middle of the screen. No crashes or rendering issues, only played up to the end of the first day.

Game has issues with the resolution and rendering of some of the characters on the screen but crashes on Save (Game saves), as well as Load. Crash is bad enough that it drops you back to the login screen for Linux.

Crash in full screen mode , crash when you change resolution, stable when you restart the game with a windowed screen in low resolution
