Jay And Problems

Game does not work with normal Proton due to the needed cut-scene video codec missing. But also for some reason newer GE-Proton 7+ doesn't work either, as the game freezes when trying to play video. So you have to use the older Proton-GE 6 for the videos to play correctly.
Game is locked to 4:3 aspect ratio. So you will have black bars on the sides.
Game just works without fiddling, unlike the last time I played on Modern Windows. I recommend going into the settings and enabling the "TabletPC controls" option, as it makes it easier to play using the touch screen on the SteamDeck.
Might have to mess with the Touchpad sensitivity to make it easier to draw, if you don't want to use the touch screen.
Don't bother using the thumbstick as a mouse, as it will make you hate life if you try to draw using it.
No Cloud Saves
My only issue is that there's no Cloud Save support, so you can't easily switch between SteamDeck and Desktop PC.

I had to crank all the graphics settings to Low, but just can't quite get a locked 30fps in the tutorial, even with resolution scaling set to 75%. Used Deck Performance settings to cap at 25fps(50Hz) to have a more stable experience. Haven't tested beyond tutorial yet. Hopefully the Proton and Game devs can iron out enough things in future updates to get it to a solid 30fps.
Make sure you change the control template to either the WASD and Mouse, or one of the community ones, as the game doesn't support gamepads.
Y for jump was annoying, so I mapped the R4 to Y.
If you want to add another hour or two to gametime, switch to 45fps cap(90Hz), then enable TDP limit to around 7W, and cap the GPU frequency until you start seeing frame drop.
Note: Actual Graphic options, and others, aren't on the Main menu. You have to Start the game and access them from the Pause menu.
Game runs with zero issues. Default control layout "Keyboard(WASD) and Mouse" works fine, as does using the Deck's touch screen. Game defaults to 800p and 2x Anti-Aliasing on launch. Didn't feel the need to change that.
Used Community Controller Layout
No Cloud Saves, so you can't sync game progress with Desktop easily
The game runs great, with 5+ hour estimated run time on battery without any custom settings. I highly recommend the Touchpad Community Layout for the controls though, as it makes the game much more comfortable to play for long sessions with just needing to tap the touchpads to fight.
Also, you'll need to use the Touchscreen (or Mouse) to get through the menu at startup due to half-baked controller support.
