IMPORTANT: TL;DR: nvidia-driver-535 is bad with wayland, downgraded to nvidia-driver-530 to fix.

I use KDE Plasma (wayland) normally. Initially I was using nvidia-driver-535 and nvidia-dkms-535. These did NOT work with Wayland. When launching the game, I would get 5 FPS in the menu. Switching to an X11 session, the framerate was fine, 144, but maybe felt a little stuttery?

I downgraded to nvidia-driver-530 and nvidia-dkms-530 and retried on Wayland, which solved my fps issue. The game ran smoothly, and no stuttery feeling.
