I don't remember exactly, but I think I had problems with some of the official proton drivers. ProtonGE versions are better, so I prefer them for every game now.

When you try to look at these add-ons on the map in the game from the game menu, the images disappear, and a few times I had the problem of the character's hair disappearing in the main menu, but it was not a problem I had very often.
The game does not open without additional tinkering, but after entering this command “PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%” the game opens without any problems. I haven't tried all proton versions but I got better performance with proton7.0-6 than with other higher versions.
I modded the game with the vortex mod manager and have played it for about 60 hours so far without any problems. I installed Steam Tinker Launcher with protonupqt to mod it. Modding was also very easy and I didn't encounter any problems.
I got better performance than on windows and I didn't make any additional settings. Even the fact that the game is shown here as gold is wrong. As soon as you download the game, you can enter it and you get no errors and you play at a higher performance than you can get on windows.
