Can't change resolution
Installed the MSCorefonts using sudo apt install ttf-mscorefonts-installer. Everything seems to run perfectly. Little frame stutter here and there. Online works as well! 2560x1400, Low settings.
Seem to run perfectly out of the box on 4.2-2. Have not tried multiplayer.
Cannot see playter body or board. Only floating head is visible. Still playable.
Origin will install but crash immediately.
Tried every version of Proton and and many of GE. Origin would install on some, but I could never get the game to launch. I assume it may be an issue on my end since many others have gotten the game to work. I will keep trying and report pack.

Extract and move to folder
PROTON="$HOME/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Proton 5.0" WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/883710/pfx" ./install-mf-64.sh -proton
(Run all lines above simultaneously)
Move the mfplat.dll file to the directory containing RE2.exe ("$HOME/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/RESIDENT EVIL 2 BIOHAZARD RE2")
Seems to work fine for the first match. Anytime a match is reloaded or settings are changes the FPS drops to single digits.
Single player is perfect. Multiplayer freezes at the server menu as others have stated.
