Works great out of the box
Sometimes, when the game first loads in fullscreen, the screen is not centered, you can a black bar at the bottom of the screen. A restart fixes it. Is a pre-alpha game, I don't even think this problem is Linux specific.
Game no worky :( "Assertion failed!" "Login failed, please try again. ID: 4/77"
The game lauches without the "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" ticked and it does not work without it. Oance ticked the game works.
Wayland ❌ X11 ✅
I am using Kubuntu wayland. And right on the page with the 2nd Terms of Service that you need to accept, I was getting an error and could not get into the game. I logged out, logged back in with X11 and I was able to lauch the game. After accepteing that 2nd Terms of Service prompt, the game works in Wayland as well.
Because of the save bug, where the game deletes your save (including in the steam cloud) you might wake up one day wanting to play some No Man's Sky only to realize you've lost 20, 30, 100 hours of progress. The game runs excellent on Linux/Steam tho. If you are going to play ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR SAVE MANUALLY.
You can live with the glitch subtitle but, the clicking problem makes the game unplayable.
The text in the subtitles is gliched, it can be read by is very hard on the eyes.
Mouse clicking on objects not working 9 out of 10 times. Makes for a very frustrating experience playing as you have to click 100 times on something in order to work. Not ideal in a clicking game.
