the game itself runs fine normally but recently it has some problems with crashing since steam updated it's client.
some textures in the distance are missing sometimes.
sometimes the input get laggy.
occasionally the game crashes on native and proton versions, this has been mainly a problem since the steam client update.
beside the occasionall crashing of the game entirely, you can't at this point in time use the airports in the game, you'll get an error message that you can't close without spam clicking somewhere else on the screen and pressing ESC.
the game would not start without proton-5.0.7 so i advise you use that one then it will run just fine
if you start the game on full-screen with a 2 or more monitors connected it will choose a random one so i advise you to use windowed mode to start it up so you can move it to the right screen, you can also keep trying the built in choice to set the right display but that one doesn't work for me.
keep in mind that you need to start the game in windowed mode so you can move it to the right screen after that you can do Alt-Enter and it should go in full screen on the monitor you put in on.
Before the steam client update eu4 would run flawlessly on native and proton, as of now for me it does neither.
at points where the game crashed and according to steam shut down entirely the sound will continue like the game was running even tho it isn't.
just before the game crashes the game turns gray like it opened the menu, but the menu is not visible if it's indeed there.
when the game was in windowed or windowed fullscreen the menu buttons won't work on either native linux or proton versions of the game.
eventually the mouse starts to jitter around it's pretty much an indicator the game is about to crash.
If i got so far as being able to play the game eventually the game would crash and save-file gets instantly corrupted.
Ever since steam updated it's client eu4 has been crashing constantly on native linux and various proton versions.
At this moment eu4 has for me the tendency to either crash on launch, in the main menu, or after several minutes of playing the game. again this is occuring both on Linux and on various proton versions i've tried.
Multiplayer works fine at first but eventually the game crashes just like in singleplayer.
For me as it now stand EU4 doesn't run on either linux or proton versions, i hope sincerly that this gets fixed quickly because i'm out of options as it now stands. so far as i know eu4 only runs on a native windows device as it now stands.
if it works it is a great game on Linux, but you might have some startup problems initially.
mainly the water effect when you are in a vehicle glitches out when it collides with said vehicle.
as of 22 September 2020 Mudrunner no longer runs with the following set of settings: Proton 4.11-13 and the launch option: PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 %command%.
this is as far as i know for me only at this time but i still wanted to make a report on it
The game launches and then it just shuts down instantly, i have tried various proton version but no luck.
After Steam client update the game doesn't work on native and proton.
- Game boots into launcher and may crash
- If the game launches out of the launcher almost guarenteed it will crash at this time.
- I haven't been able to get into any gameplay as stands since Steam updated it's client, everytime i enter the loading screen to start playing the game crashes
Multiplayer:
- Normally it would work flawlessly as it stand now it doesn't atleast for me.
Extra note: As of now i've only been able to play paradox games in general on Windows native devices ever since steam updated it's client. i can't determen te cause of the issue or what is causing it at all in the first place.
