Always crashed on the intro race when I had my graphics settings turned to Extreme. Disabling V-SYNC significantly improved stability, as well as turning graphics settings well below what my computer can handle. Since then, I have not encountered any crashes.

On the native Linux version, there's crazy input lag, no rumble, and the dash often just... doesn't work? It works beautifully on Proton, though.
Use Proton. I'm afraid the native Linux version just isn't that good for controllers, and probably has other bugs I'm not aware of as well.
On a laptop with hybrid graphics, the game only works on an external monitor. On the built-in screen, the game will just show a black window. (can only confirm on NVIDIA)
On a laptop with integrated graphics, both Proton and native versions crashed unless plugged into an external monitor.
