The game "technically" works, with unplayable fps and weird sound issues. Only happens in apex for me.
Crackling and a sort of ticking sound? This has only happened with me on Apex Legends
Fps went down to around 4fps. Normally I'd stay at least at around 144fps. This fps issue happens in the main menu as well as in game. The game does report an higher fps (around 100). But that is not the case, mangohud report around 4 fps which I think is the correct number.
Game not able to quit in many cases. Also really high ping in game.
One thing that I found weird is that in the loading screen and cinematic the FPS was normal (constant 144)
I hope that these issues will be fixed. Have been wanting to get into this game again more but I think that dualbooting windows is probably the best option now. Will be trying more troubleshooting first though :)
Runs perfectly with a couple small tweaks. My fps improved compared to windows, good linux experience.

Without the launch options the game was very laggy for me. Adding them fixed all my issues. The game does have a problem on linux that it cannot save the highlights locally to your machine. Not a deal breaker for me, but could be to other people.
The game worked really well, I ran it on the highest settings and got around 80-90 fps average.

A really fun game, I hope that the linux performance (fps wise) will be a tiny bit better in the future. Although I do not have a comparison compared to windows, so this fps might be expected (although 80-90 seems a lil on the lower side for my hardware). But for a just released game it works amazing. Would recommend trying!
Running the game out of the box resulted in terrible gameplay with only around 20-30fps. Setting the game to proton experimental fixed the issue for me and the fps is now around 150, just like what I got in windows.
I noticed that the fps is around the same but the frame times would be a bit higher compared to windows. The experience was still smooth.
Multiplayer experience was just like in windows
The FPS and frame times are unstable compared to windows. Turning down the settings in game a bit did fix these issues for me.
I did force proton experimental, without it the game would either not launch or have really low FPS.
I limited the fps to 200 (I did this in windows as well). I'm confortably hovering around that fps without any dips.

Works fine ootb for me but I would recommend these small tinker steps. They will make the experience way better. Especially since it improved the FPS a lot (for me at least).
Works OOTB
I've had 0 issues with this game, I installed the game and it ran perfectly fine just like on windows. If you have this game it is a really
