For Linux Users (compatibility fixes) IMPORTANT: Make sure you do ALL OF THE METHODS where your distro is listed on. Please also make sure that your Linux kernel is up-to-date. If you do not experience any of these issues, feel free to ignore. ✅ = verified ⏸️ = has evidence but not reliable enough
Game is stuck on infinite loading after "Touch to Start" Use the latest Proton GE version (Proton GE 10.8+) by downloading ProtonUp-Qt. Make sure you restart Steam client so that it appears on your Compatibility page. Bazzite ✅ Linux Mint 22.1 ✅ Go to Manage ⚙️ (under Blue Archive inside Library), then go to "Properties..." and find "Launch Options". Paste the following inside Launch Options: UMU_ID=0 %command% All distros, especially non-systemd distros (Alpine, Artix, etc.) ✅
Videos (CGs, Gacha Preview, etc.) are not working/show black screen Use the latest Proton GE version (Proton GE 10.8+) by downloading ProtonUp-Qt. Make sure you restart Steam client so that it appears on your Compatibility page. SteamOS (Steam Deck) ✅
Game is stuck on "Unpacking Game Resources" Use the native/distro-packaged version or RPMFusion version of Steam. Do not download the flathub/flatpak version. Fedora, Nix ✅ recommended for all distros note: issue replicated on Fedora (Bazzite). Rebase to Bazzite, then install native/distro-packaged version of Steam Aurora ✅

MEDIA FOUNDATION WORK AROUND AND FIXES
Use Media Foundation Script to install fixes for opening video and probably for the cut scenes. Then the game will load Instructions: -Download Media Foundation script from here: https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install -Unzip file in your Downloads Folder -Open Up terminal in Downloads/mf-install-master folder Copy and paste the the address of the folder where your game is installed, so example for my game is this: WINEPREFIX="/home/username/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/compatdata/524580/pfx" ./mf-install.sh press enter and let the script run
after copy these files from the script folder: mf.error.dll, mferror.dll, mfplay.dll, mfreadwrite.dll, msmpeg2adec.dll, msmpeg2vdec.dll to the folder where the game is, which is 524580 copy this file onto the pfx folder: mfplat.dll from the script folder restart Steam, then play the game using PROTON GE 6.10 on Steam, Game should be able to play now

I am running a 2015 AMD Radeon R9 M360 Video Card so the first time the game runs, it is slow because of the Vulkan Shaders compiling in the background. But I restarted the game and it ran well, but had to go from 1080p to 720p to make it playable. Other than that, nothing major. Game runs really well with Proton-GE-12-1
Be prepared to wait a bit for the game to start. After it does, if you have a higher end graphics card than what I have, game should not be slow compiling the Vulkan Shaders after first try. Overall, Glorious Eggroll really did an amazing job with this release.

The game runs well under Proton-GE-12-1. Opening Cinematic plays, then you can play the game. This version of Proton-GE-21-1 should be the one to play Y's.
