OOTB Just use latest Proton
Keyboard was more than laggy. could not do anything like move, because each time I hit W, the screen would freeze for up to 10 seconds, but the character would not move. Audio kept playing fine. Switched to PS3 controller and everything worked better than when I played this on my PS3 back in the day..
Other than the keyboard basically not working, I had to switch to the latest Proton 8. Worked fine, but I thought it was that version that was making the keyboard glitch, so I switched to Experimental before realizing I needed the controller. Both Protons work. Plays better than my PS3 version. Probably due to faster processor and better graphics. Long time since I played, and I forgot how fun it is.
Not really a tinker, since I run just about every game that needs Proton with experimental. Runs without any issues. 1080p 30fps. Haven't tried the 60fps hack, but it really doesn't need it.
