This game is fun, sick, has great mechanics, great community and great devs who really care about everyone being able to enjoy the game.
Alt-tabbing sometimes makes you unable to use the space key.
The Finals Works fantastic on Linux.
However, at least on Wayland, the only problem I have is that sometimes when I alt-tab and then come back the space key stops working.
Nevertheless, that's fixed by alt-tabbing once again or multiple times till it works (or clicking on the pause menu, maybe both).
I have no idea if the same thing happens on X11, but it's not like I want to try it.

If you want to launch this directly from your Library you can use "Steam Tinker Launch" (3rd party app)
Select GAME MENU
Check "Use custom command" "Only custom command"
Select "nw" and Save and Play.
