I think it's happening when you use steam overlay, very very rare.
Shows an error that I can't understand when trying to launch the game.
I would love to play this masterpiece, but unfortunately I can't.
The game runs smoothly and it was really fun for me. The multiplayer isn't working but it's not a problem (at least for me).

You can't minimize the game.
The multiplayer doesn't work, but this game is mainly singleplayer so this shouldn't be a problem.
The whole command for the launch options:

Because the save file is not backed up; when switching proton versions, the save files would be deleted.
If you like to play a game at windows full HD, than it's ok to play on linux.
The games crops the screen When I go fullscreen.
I finished the game on windows, but when I tried to lunch it in linux, it didn't shown the save (It's probably a steam problem but I thought is worth mentioning).
I run the game in proton - 6.21 Glorious Egg 1
Used MGSM2Fix.
It's a fun game, and it works really good.
Even with the small bugs, it's a great game and I have enjoyed playing it. You can live with the bugs, they are not so bad.

Went to it's "browse local files", and put it there.
A single cutscene was out of sync with the audio, I don't know why.
When enterting to the actual game (not the pretty menu), it startes windows (when configured fullscreen), but when exiting the game to the menu before it and re-entering, it enteres fullscreen.
Also ALT+TAB doesn't work.

In short, after the post credits it got stuck, and I have tried using the fhd and stuff, not caring that much to try fixing it.

Used the mods MGSHDFix and MGS3MC Better Audio Mod. Haven't tried without them.
The game froze and crashed multiple times throughout my playthrough, and I am not sure why. Maybe it's because my old hardware? If you have problems, try to remove mods and/or lowering resolution.
The game would let you play for some time and them it would crash. That makes the game unplayable, I have tried GE proton and the experimental proton version.
The multiplayer works fine, you need to add your friends through the xbox profile site.
Use the lunch option "-changedir" (with brackets). It has low FPS in the start of the level where choosing plants, expect that, everythings is fine.
This game works Excellent without any problems (with proton of course).
If playing with friends is not a problem for you, you will be fine. (origin overlay isn't working).
When exiting fullscreen, you can't enter the game again.
Sometimes the game will minimize itself, and then you couldn't go back into the game. Try turning off the origin notifications and It will probably work.
The game will stutter for every 1 - 2 seconds. you need to change the premission of the folder of origin in the user's folder in the wine prefix folder.

Change the path ~/.local/share/Steam to your steam folder position.

It's working good!
alt + tab = crash. When minimizing, there is no going back.
The game is stuttering from time to time, There is a fix for that.
Fix: chmod -R -w ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1237970/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Application\ Data/Origin.

Because origin and titanfall 2 changes the premission changes the premissions somehow, I recommend to do that in a loop of 50 times and sleep time of 1.5 sec so the code looks like:

I recommend starting the script when the game is launching.
Can't use origin overlay. So can't play with friends. The fix is to create a network (in the game), put your friends there and have fun!

The missing car engine audio is a bad problem, because of that I didn't enjoyed.
Car engine is missing, it destroy's the fun out of the game.
Low textures, It's not that bad but still.
I highly recommend to switch the rendering from DirectX to openGL, It's just better. Also Alt + Tab worked for me but I don't recommend putting songs or videos in the background, it makes the game a bit luggy. Except that, everything is fine (It will tell you need at least windows vista to run the game but that's okay).
change in the file: /Library/GlyphLibrary.xml The MINOS from "winvista" (without quotes) to winxp (without quotes). and change the file premission to read only! then the game will work, but it recommended to change to openGL from directX! Runs perfectly after these.

Even if changed winvista to winxp or something like that, it will say there's a problem.
