Game needs wine-5.4 (or a fork of wine-5.4) or older version to work properly. Newer version of wine will cause much bigger save loading times.

Current Steam Beta will cause the game and itself to crash. Opt out of the beta program to avoid those problems.
Everything works out of box. No problems with D9VK. Performance is similar to the native version.
x360 controller does not works for me. Game works best in DX11 mode (use -force-d3d11 flag and select 1st option when launching in Steam). Does not works in openGL mode.
msxml3 must be installed
Game does not starts with stable Proton. Proton-experimental or GE is required.
This is report for a beta version of Tropico 6 which is windows-only. Pretty much everything works out of box. On the 1st run white screen will appear after the initial loading. That's supposed to be a message from devs but it does not displays properly. Press ESC and it won't appear again.
Kalipso Launcher will crash right after start but it can be bypassed by removing the "launcher" directory. After that game will work perfectly, even better than the native version.
mangohud gamemoderun %command% -NoStartupMovies -dx12
You can remove the launcher folder to skip it on game start. Ingame mod.io mods manager does not loads in Proton version. DX12 version works the best.
This is a DX8 game and its heavily corrupted when launched in wine. It is possible to fix the main menu with dgVoodoo (which converts DX8 to DX10 and then Proton will convert that to Vulkan with DXVK) but it is still impossible to play the battle because game will only show black screen after level loading.
