Same as others, the game won't start. Installs anti-cheat and then says: Failed to initialize BattlEye Service: Driver Load Error (31)
Slow to start, Online & Story Mode open, can't play.
I'll admit my system isn't all that great. And I just started playing GTA V (on Windoze), and I might not know the controls. But GTA V does play well on Windows.
Start up was even slower than on Windows and drawing of the world was slow. For instance, my garage was bare walls for a good 2 minutes before seeing the stuff on the wall, counter, and the laptop.
Another weirdness was a character radio dial in the lower right that I've not seen in Windows. I could not get out of it, though I didn't try much beyond enter, escape, left-click & right-click.
It also took forever to close and my whole system was frozen with weird visual glitches for a good 10 minutes. Anyways, I guess I'll stay in Windows when playing. :-(
I only played a few setup missions for Cayo. It worked for a good 30 minutes, will try it for game night.
It's been a while since I've played this game, but it worked beautifully.
After problems last weekend, I'm glad things played quite well. I updated, turned off all the tweaks just in case and put settings on low. I also left uploading my saves off as that has caused problems in the past.
I played all morning and didn't have any unexpected troubles. I paused it for lunch, came back, started to play and then it suddenly froze. After a reboot, another update to the Steam Client. Problems with background processes? I played for another few hours and everything seemed fine.
Oh, still problem with audio of NPCs. And it exited quickly and cleanly to desktop. Its never done that before.
Except for the NPC audio, which is easily fixed, experience is great, even with my meager hardware.
No NPCs can talk. Add in "WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=90 %command%" and everything is cool.
