As others say, trigger haptics on Dualsense or XSX controllers don't work.
On various proton versions, including experimental and GE, fps counts tanked by as much as 40% as compared to on 9.0-2
Depending on your hardware, preference, or personal sensitivity, the fps drop might not even be noticeable. It seemed to hold around 70fps on other proton versions which, while absolutely not using the hardware to its fullest, for a game like DS that doesn't have a ton of fast motion is perfectly comfortable without even really noticing. There's no stutters or anything like that. For everyone else, Proton 9 seems to be the most reliable option for the best performance.
Online is not possible on my system as far as I can tell. EAC window opens, loads for a second, then closes without starting the game.
Forced experimental + bleeding edge required to get the EAC window to appear at all, otherwise nothing will start and steam will change the launch button back to play without anything appearing. Rename start_protected_game.exe to something else and eldenring.exe to start_protected_game.exe to play offline.
All runs as expected, except for a noticeable microstutter which significantly degrades the experience if you're at all sensitive to it.
Consistent micro-stutter throughout all normal gameplay.
Will need some slight tinkering to resolve.
Fullscreen is entirely black, seemingly no fix possible. I hesitate to deduct points for this though since I couldn't get fullscreen working on Windows, either (over there the game goes past the bounds of my monitor).
The game window starts entirely black, save for the options at the top. Entering fullscreen and then just exiting it seems to fix it.
