The game itself works fine, but not being able to use ANY kind of external audio device on a rhythm game is a huge issue.
Can't use headphones of any kind (bluetooth or wired), will always play sound through the internal speakers. Super annoying.
It refusing to use any kind of external audio device is a big issue that needs adressing. Shouldn't be verified.
Perfect out of the box. No issues at all, locked 60 FPS at 1080p docked. Locked 60 FPS undocked too obviously.
Perfect experience out of the box.
Everything runs perfectly, even the online mode, as long as you use 3.16-4 beta. Zero problems. Launcher works fine and game works fine.
Needs the SteamDeck env var or FMVs won't play. I don't yet know if the crash I had was a fluke or a reocurring issue.
SteamDeck=1 %command%
I had one crash while having the game minimized (a Wine error message citing a Vulkan error)
Seems to run well, just needs the SteamDeck env var or the FMVs won't play.
SteamDeck=1 %command%
Can crash when minimized
Needs the SteamDeck env var for the videos to play. Minimizing it can lead to crashes, I suspect it's a stability issue of Nvidia+Wayland but I'm not sure.
Works perfectly as long as you add the SteamDeck env var, which is needed for the cutscenes to play. Set it to borderless fullscreen.
SteamDeck=1 %command% -reboot=true
Needs to be set to BORDERLESS fullscreen (not normal fullscreen) or it may crash when minimized
A flawless experience as long as you set it up properly like I explain here. The "-reboot=true" argument is just to skip the intro logos. Also, this is on Wayland.
The native Linux version seems to always launch in windowed mode on Wayland, and there are no resolution or fullscreen settings at all in the native Linux version for some reason. I had to switch to Proton in order to be able to play in fullscren. Flawless after that. The Linux port seemed to run well too, if they fix the fullscreen issue it would be okay.
Runs at around 10FPS more than on Windows on my PC. DLSS upscaling and DLSS framegen both also work flawlessly.
Anytime there's water on screen, the FPS tank to around 30. Doesn't seem logical given the visuals and style of the game.
If you can get past the random FPS drops (they never drop until 30 anyways, but this IS supposed to be a fast 60 FPS Sonic-style platformer...) then the game runs fine. Note: I also tried Proton Experimental and it didn't make a difference performance-wise. Neither did forcing the GPU clock to max.
Works great at 720p, medium settings, 42 Hz with 42 FPS cap, DoF off, SMAA. Sound crackles occasionally but it always recovers eventually.
Medium settings, DoF off, SMAA, 1280x720, 42 Hz
Sound crackles occasionally, especially after waking up the Deck, but it eventually recovers.
If you exit the game via the main menu, the screen will turn off and won't turn back on. Quitting the game from Steam works fine however.
Might as well be native.
Perfect. Same performance as on Windows. Absolutely no tinkering needed, just click play and play.
