Worked natively
No proton or any other tinkering required. Runs smoothly without any issue. (Wayland)
SteamDeck=1 %command%
Using GE-Proton9-23 + launch configs (SteamDeck=1 %command%) allowed me to play it without issues. Crashed on launch if I didn't add those configs.
Had problems initially running TF2 but thats because I didn't have all the graphics packages installed.
Be sure to have all these drivers (AMD/NVIDIA specifics are separated -- also some are not graphics drivers but still helped)
NVIDIA support lib32-nvidia-utils libva-nvidia-driver lib32-libva-nvidia-driver opencl-nvidia lib32-opencl-nvidia libvdpau-va-gl lib32-libva-vdpau-driver libvdpau lib32-libvdpau mesa-vdpau lib32-mesa-vdpau
AMD support opencl-rusticl-mesa amdvlk lib32-amdvlk
Others: vulkan-icd-loader lib32-vulkan-icd-loader libglvnd lib32-libglvnd sdl2 lib32-sdl2 sdl2_image sdl2_mixer sdl2_ttf sdl2_net alsa-plugins lib32-alsa-plugins openal lib32-openal
Remember that this runs natively, therefore proton is not needed. Be sure to have it off in your settings for this game.
No luck on wayland. Tried with multiple proton versions including GE. Tried with different drivers. Nothing worked.
For now, I just stick to dual booting windows and running it there.
60-80 fps on linux vs 190-210 fps on windows using the same hardware
Proton 8.0-5 worked for me. Lower FPS than normal but it works.
Use GE-Proton9-20. Ran cleanly with it.
SteamDeck=1 %command%
From time to time, the screen glitches in small regions
Be sure to disable the steam overlay. Launching it would cause an instant game crash. Also if you are playing from a non-desktop environment (window manager only), don't run it in exclusive fullscreen.
