Astronomics is playable in it's current Early Access state but it's not perfect but really only when it comes to the input controls.
you need to modify the default settings as you will be missing some functions, like Tab and Esc.
Text is a tiny bit small but not terrible
on the main menu, the selection graphic does not align with the words you're selecting.
The only issue I've come across (so far) is just that the game does not support gamepads. But the community has already created a working layout so that's not a major issue.
Game works great but you should use custom contoller settings
in its factory default state, this game eats battery
enabled back grip buttons to point to the ESCAPE on the keyboard. Otherwise, you will not be able to exit the game without killing it from the steam menu.
the game's default resolution cuts off the right and left sides but not enough to ruin the gameplay.
full screen is wider than the steam deck screen and windowed mode does not work.
reduced watts and limited fps to keep battery to a reasonable level. Default values will drop battery at about 50% per hour.
some text was small but 80% was readable
battery life is horrendous but overall, game is 100% playable with some small text.

the game options provides a UI sizer so you can make everything bigger.
gamepad is not supported and audio is not working
occassional studdering but only for a couple seconds
I'll submit another report but running this game on ProtonGE resolves the occassional studdering.
