The default config is a bit laggy (I may need a better CPU?)
My VR headset went to sleep some times, but can't pinpoint if it's the game's fault or if it's triggered by my machine's performance
I was able to take off and land from a space station in VR, so that's a plus.
My main issue is that every 3 minutes the headset went to sleep and when I came back the view was displaced a lot above my ship. Refreshing the calibration fixed the problem, but it's not acceptable for normal gameplay.
I still can't pinpoint if this problem is triggered by device performance, the game or my setup, but this is the only game where it happens.
VR
Even though the game is playable, the performance on VR-low settings is not enough for playing in VR on my hardware in Linux (the bottleneck most likely is the CPU)
Update of my review from 3 days ago.
I was able to take off and land from a space station in VR. The game is playable without issues, but the performance is not good enough to play in VR with my specs.
The previous problems I reported were unrelated to the game.
Played with Quest2 through ALVR.

There are no problems if you use the enviroment variables.
The score was achieved by setting it to 1920x1080 - Lowest Settings, Frame Generation on
It's unplayable if you run it without them. Heavy artifacts that makes it unplayable until it crashes randomly.
I have tried different Proton and GE-Proton versions, but the game always gets stuck in the CHARACTERBANK screen.
Looking forward to play this game in the future :)
Game crashes during startup
Have tried several versions of Proton and GE-Proton without success. The game always crashes while showing the "Character Bank" logo.
Can play the full game and it works as expected. Had to use GE-Proton8-16 since other versions of Proton don't show the buttons. I think this is a good benchmark game to see if VR works on your machine (I'm running a Quest2 through ALVR). It's a fun game too :D
Sometimes it crashes randomly. It crashes consistently in Secret Shop or Robot Repair.
Update for my review from 3 days ago:
I noticed that it actually crashes when loading Secret Shop or Robot Repair as other reviewers say. Besides that, the rest of the game is playable and it works as expected, but sometimes it crashes undexpectedly at random.
Had to use GE-Proton8-16 since other versions of Proton don't show the buttons. GE-Proton8-23 and latest Proton crashes when entering the lab.
Played with Quest2 through ALVR.
