You will need to install Proton-6.21-GE-2 with protonup-qt you will also need 39210.py fix u can find it from the github page via google search. Put that file in the Proton 6.21-ge-2 folder where it say gamefixes. Proton --gui in konsole you will want to install DLL of vcrun2019 and dotnet48. Launch the game with the launch option above and set it to use Proton-6.21-GE-2 and the game should give you the option to install and launch the game. Works perfect on my end.
SquareEnix needs to fix the launcher to work on FFXIV on Steam with proton.
This is terrible to literally not support proton on Steam by the dev & publisher
There's no excuse to not have this game thats on Steam to not work with Proton for users that want to use it on a Linux Desktop or Steamdeck. I don't see the point in blocking us for playing the game. It's not cool and giving me second thoughts to even play this game now. I also include the easyanticheat_x64.so file from New World and the game seems to want to launch Lost Ark, but it just loads the splash screen no error message im guess cause the EAC doesn't have proton runtime enable so it just exit other than that the game would probably work and launch the game, but its the dev that is blocking us literally for us to not play it on Linux.

Game launches due to Easy Anti Cheat it won't past character creation after you're done making your character the game won't login into the server due to EAC it will not connect you to the game server therefor the game is not playable.
copied EACx64.so file into the easyanticheat folder (got it from new world PTR data)
after patch update the game just hangs doesn't even loadup anymore :/
Not available on this platform. Make sure you're using the right launcher.
