PROTON_USE_WINE3D=1 %command% -w 1920 -h 1080
Changed one cinematic file's name
Cinematics don't work, character images/tutorial or tips images are not being rendered
Keyboard does have a lot of input lag, sometimes doesnt even detect the key you're pressing, controller works perfectly tho
Some lag spikes
If you don't change the name/remove the file for the first cutscene when starting a new game it will crash. After Rider's first boss battle the game freezes.
Only able to launch it with Proton 7.0-6, other versions didn't start. To start a new game, you need to rename or delete "/FateSamuraiRemnant/ebc8c781/0a3b595e.bin". The rest of the cutscenes will be skipped, but the game will freeze after Rider's fight, so you can't progress further in the game. The cutscene problem is not related to Linux, as Koei Tecmo has already provided a "solution," which doesn't seem to fix anything. We'll have to wait for a patch to fix this issue; I'll update the report then. Apparently, it works fine on the Steam Deck.
Renamed cutscene's folder
cutscenes won't play obviously
Update to the last report: (No patch has been released tho) trying to get the game working, I noticed that renaming the cutscene's folder of the game after starting it, makes the game to skip them all, instead of crashing the game like it was doing in my case. It's important to do it AFTER lauching, if you do it before, the game will not start at all.
Only if you use older versions of Proton, like 5.x
Fullscreen/borderless doesn't let the game launch, a black screen appears instead.
Only if you use older versions of Proton, like 5.x
If you don't change the game to window, you need to change the Proton version each time you launch the game for some reason.
If you have this kind of problems when launching the game, you can take a while testing the game until you discover that the borderless window doesn't let you play it, because there's no reports refering to this. Hope I helped someone to fix it.
Disable the Steam in-game Overlay
Everything works as intended, but when doing Shift+Tab (Opening the Steam in-game Overlay) nothing will appear and suddenly Steam will start to open and close continuously until you manualy close Steam, so I had to disable it.
