As you play longer, you'll encounter more and more stuttering and lag, which is very frustrating for a racing game.
Using a PlayStation controller may result in multiple input issues.
The game runs very smoothly at first, but as playtime progresses, annoying stuttering starts to appear.
If you're like me and using a PlayStation controller connected via USB to play this game, you might encounter multiple input issues. This happens because the system recognizes the PS controller as two different devices. You can easily fix this by setting all mappings for the wireless controller to 'none' in Steam's controller mapping, or you can disable the wireless controller by creating a udev rule.
My PS4 controller can be detected normally in the controller settings page of the Steam client, but it couldn't be detected in-game. I was able to fix the issue by following this: steamcommunity.com/app/221410/discussions/0/1693795812304458372/
The game runs very smoothly on Manjaro, aside from the PS4 controller issue and some occasional graphical glitches. Overall, the game performs really well, and there's absolutely no problem with online multiplayer.
A few months ago, I played the game on Nobara 40/41. Initially, it ran very smoothly, but after playing for a while (about an hour), I started to experience increasingly frequent and annoying stuttering. At first, I thought it might have been caused by a game update breaking a patch, but the issue seems to be related to Nobara itselfβbecause after switching to Manjaro, the problem completely disappeared. Unfortunately, I wasnβt able to pinpoint the exact cause. If you encounter the same issue on Nobara, I recommend trying a different distro.
