If you use the discrete GPU only mode (via BIOS or via MSI Center on Windows if you have MSI laptop), you get even extra fps and, no, Optimus Nvidia only mode doesn't do the same. Works good on Wayland and X11. Just make sure to use GE-Proton 9-16.
