vanished after changed to older proton
Was too slow to play until I switched to an older version of proton. I am tempted to see if I can get more performance out of these commands but after switching it is so smooth I may not even bother. (Here are my usual launch options which I didn't use this time: gamemoderun PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV %command% I installed gamemode with the command sudo apt install gamemode and I check it is running with the command gamemoded -s Plus obviously only use the AMD command if you have an AMD graphics card)
Had to switch to the proton version and add my usual launch options. It's working at about 80-90% capacity of what I would expect it to
gamemoderun PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV %command%
Even with all my tweeks there is a slight latency
Use proton, and it seems using an earlier version works better. You can try my launch options too, they made a big difference for me. (Here are my usual launch options: gamemoderun PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV %command% I installed gamemode with the command sudo apt install gamemode and I check it is running with the command gamemoded -s Plus obviously only use the AMD command if you have an AMD graphics card)
gamemoderun PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV %command%
Even with my tweeks it is a little sluggish
With these launch options it seemed to make the game playable
I installed gamemode with the command sudo apt install gamemode and I check it is running with the command gamemoded -s Plus obviously only use the AMD command if you have an AMD graphics card
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Try this launch option and hopefully it helps.
gamemoderun PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV %command%
Different versions of proton didn't seem to improve it, only my launch options. Then it ran smoothly! I installed gamemode with the command sudo apt install gamemode and I check it is running with the command gamemoded -s
gamemoderun PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV %command%
Try my launch options and see if you can get it to run smoothly. You will have to download gamemode though as far as I am aware though.
Added my usual tweaks and works brilliantly, though needed to fiddle with resolution to make fullscreen
gamemoderun PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
To full screen it I had to reduce the screen resolution from the highest to the second highest then it would full screen without crashing.
If you are having troubles with fullscreen lower the resolution by one setting then fullscreen it and it should work. Other than that I used these launch options: gamemoderun PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command% I installed gamemode with the command sudo apt install gamemode and I check it is running with the command gamemoded -s
