Same experience as playing on windows. The only thing you need to do is switch to proton to be able to play repentance with mods.

Set MaxScale=3 in options.ini located in /.../.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/250900/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/My Games/Binding of Isaac Repentance Useful if the hud is taking a lot of space on the screen.
