i used a dxkv shade cache file form here: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/t5xrho/dxvk_state_cache_for_fixing_stutter_in_apex/ to fix all stuttering.
i had occasional crashes, for example when my friend left the training lobby before me or after messing with settings performance suffered, and then teh game crashed. after which all performance was fine
was able to connect to and play online matches with minimal lag
minor stuttering

crashed in startup unless cache was cleared, crashed in loading screen 9/10 times, crashed consistantly within 5 minutes of play.
because the xbox game bar is not available on linux multiplayer was not possible
No version of proton available fixed the crashes, i tried all version of ge back to 5.22, experimental bleeding edge to 5.0-10. No mesa version from git all the way to 22.2.2 did any better. forcing the game to use its own caching instead of vkd3d-proton did help.
