For anyone running into issues when entering non-cutscene gameplay scenes: I was facing some major issues after trying to load a save file from when I played the game on my Steam Deck. Any time I was entering an area in the game that wasn't the dorms, my game would crash my GPU, forcing me to do a full restart. Browsing for this issue provided the solution to turn off reflections in the graphics settings. However, no matter what I tried, the game kept crashing. That was because I attempted to change the settings from within the main menu, which doesn't carry over into save files you load. So if you're stuck like I was, do the following:

1. Load a save that you've made inside the dorms OR start a new game.
2. As soon as you have the option, go to the game's config menu and turn off reflections from within the graphigs settings.
3. Save the game.
4. Return to the main menu and start however you wanted to start in the first place.
