Weird ghosting on the conveyer belt items when using upscaling depending on "quality" that is set
If you don't let shaders precache (which takes ages), game peformance can be a bit poor
Stock nvidia driver for debian 11 seems to be 470 which is too old for proton 8 to run. proton 5 will run it but it will break the "multiplayer" sign in thing which will mean you will be playing as a "guest"" in your world.
Updated driver to latest from NVIDIA 535 and proton 8 now works fine and the online signin thingy works properly now.
**ATTENTION: ** Proton DB seems to not let me set the proton version... I am using STOCK proton but I am forcing a specific version, 8.0-4
Keep your finger on the pulse for driver updates, especially to my Debian fam as Debian occasionally seems to stop updating graphics drivers unless something major breaks (not their fault, for their size they are grossly under resourced so they have to pick their fights).
I was running NVidia 470 for a while on proton 5, worked fine. But recent update (update 8) brought to my attention that this configuration is no beuno, more so when I played the game on my laptop via eGPU and found all my character inventory + slots was missing because the laptop with Debian 12 had proton 8 working properly and thus signed in fine (where is PC was signing in as a "guest").
NVidea OEM drivers are a pig but sometimes thats the choice you have to make.
There are some stutters while the shaders/textures load in but once that is all sorted it's smooth as butter, even with a massive spaghetti monster that'd make the spaghetti belting conseurs cream their latte.
