Framerate occasionally drops below 20 fps
Force the Steam Deck to run the Windows version of the game instead of the native Linux version by ticking the box next to "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" and select the latest Proton version.

Forcing Proton 5 will prevent Fatal Errors when playing an Away-game in NBA Season. The only downside is a white background in the selection menus.
