could not get fullscreen to work, or any window size increase at all for that matter, and the window is so tiny it's very hard to play
any attempt at fullscreen, such as f1>launch fullscreen or alt-enter, results in the window being the same size but with a huge black border

Can escape fullscreen but upon returning to the game, the graphics are too distorted to play.
From what I've read, for computers with a typical modern CPU, you are very likely to have to add the launch option.
Short version: Ran perfectly normally - but only after changing the proton version to 4.11-13.
Long version: I tried the current proton version, the experimental version, and glorious egroll and the game immediately gave me an error message and crashed for all three. When I tried the launch option command some other people here recommended, I got a black screen for a while before an eventual silent crash. While keeping that launch option change, I went through all the proton versions and still could not run the game. I came back here for more potential fixes to try. After I changed to proton 4.11-13 and cleared the launch options box, it ran normally!
Technically, the way multiplayer works in this game requires no actual internet connection. You only need to be able to communicate with the other person (or yourself on another device) to share which version you are playing at the beginning.
You need two devices, each with their own paid copy of the game, to be able to play either in person or over distance. I had to buy a copy through my phone's app store.
Works as expected!
The audio stuttered when the FPS dropped
The intro area is fine but once you load into a real map it turns into a slideshow
Although I was able to get the game to load, the performance was too poor to actually play it. I would like to try again at some point once I get more RAM, but I'm giving up for now.
I recommend virtualbox or a win10 computer for this one, because on linux you can't access about half the content
ran noticably worse when not fullscreen
sometimes crashes when you reach an ending
could not get the daemon to work - I opened it by finding it in the game files but it didn't do anything. I was only able to get it to work in virtualbox win10
I also bought it on itch.io and it was significantly worse, I had major game breaking issues with crashing and freezing that I couldn't fully resolve. Running through steam with proton on linux is way better but still not good enough to fully enjoy it.
