Not an enjoyable time with an enjoyable game. Played thru Geforce Now, despite my internet being quite bad, I had a better time that way.
- Already reported a lot, but several Audio sources didn't work, including most notably NPC voicelines, NPC weapon sounds, in-scene music (radio, tv)
- Throughout the entire playtime I had a strong crackling, from initial loading in animation to actual gameplay
Using Fullscreen worked, when holding Alt+Tab, it showed the Window switching thingy on the left side, but I never got out of it. Using Borderless Window worked, and I was able to Alt+Tab out of it, however when doing so, the KDE Dock was visible above CP77 when going back to the game, only went away when going fullscreen.
Don't know if this is more because of the horrible performance, but it felt like .1-.3 seconds input lag for mouse, not as noticable on keyboard.
A buddy of mine has basically the same rig, just a different, but equally powerful CPU. He runs the game on 1080p, 60fps with custom settings between low and medium. I run the game 720p, lowest possible settings, and even have the adaptable resolution setting to go down to 50% resolution targeted at 30 fps, and barely hit those 30 fps.
Screen freezes, entire PC doesn't respond for ~10 seconds, then I can Alt+Tab out of it, but can't close it unless I use System Monitor to kill the process. Happens every ~20-30 minutes.
Crashes wayyyy more since the last report, even less enjoyable. Yikes. Hopefully full nvidia card support will come soon and fix this.
During the "The Heist" mission, the entire screen was primarily black when not using the scanner. So either seeing nothing thus not being able to attack or seeing stuff with the scanner, not allowing you to attack. Before and after that mission, majorly fine.
Still just horrible performance compared to playing the game on the same hardware but windows.
After the last update the crashes went from every 15-30 minutes to every 5 minutes. Literally unplayable.
Using Proton Experimental. Fixed some audio issues, and the game runs slightly smoother.

During The Heist mission, tho that might be something different. Reported numerous times.
Just a downgraded version, but with the stability fixes I was able to bump it up a notch, so now way better than before
Using the https://pastebin.com/THAmqbsA User.ini fixed crashes completely. Not a crash in 8 hours since I started using it. I doubt it's not because of it, so if you experience constant crashes, create a File called "user.ini" in /Cyberpunk 2077/engine/config/platform/pc/ and paste the stuff in the pastebin in it. Can only speak from my experience, don't know anything technical, might not work for everybody, but I can recommend just trying it out. Made me go from 20 minute playsessions max bcs of crashes to 3 hours without a single problem.
Game has a Native Build, which doens't launch, using Proton gets you into a black screen, instantly crashing
Summary is pretty much all there is, game does not start using the Native build, and using Proton (tried Experimental, Experimental bleeding, 7.0-1 and 6.3-8) will get you into a black screen for a second, then instantly crashing.
just good, everything works perfect, tho the wine toolbar could confuse some people who are really new to the whole thing
1 crash in 16 hours out of the blue so far, however i had more crashes in the 100 hours i played from the rockstar standalone on windows, so it's most likely bcs of the game and not proton
Does not launch at all with Proton Experimental and Proton 7.0-4
sometimes the .exe fails to download, after some fixing everything is perfect.
About 15-20% less frames average than when i ran it on windows, same settings except on windows i hade hairworks on, on linux off.
after changing settings a bit here and there, the game crashed after activating hairworks. when restarting, it had it disabled again, but when i enabled it again, the game worked properly. idk if it crashed bcs of hairworks the first time or not, but i just left it off.
