Aside from not running as fast as the Windows version, it works perfectly
Frame rate is noticeably lower than in Windows but perfectly playable
Level loads, credits appear, but screen remains otherwise black
Very strange. I know the level is loaded because I can walk around and hear my footsteps. The intro titles appear as expected. I have audio. The main screen is, however, completely black. I can't see the level!
Not having any audio at all would be unacceptable for an average punter.
I received the same .NET error as others, but was still able to continue with installation and running the game. Game runs fine but with no audio whatsoever.
Would not start on Proton 4.11 or 5.0
Tried both out-of-the-box and using some of the flags noted here. No joy - game quits out before showing anything onscreen.
The mf-install fix gets the cutscenes working fine, but the constant flickering polygons ruin the visual experience.
Lots of stretchy polygons flickering around the environment - the higher the graphics quality, the more of them appear.
Without speech and music, I feel like the game experience is degraded beyond the point of being easily enjoyed.
Music and speech completely missing. Intro silent.. However, unlike other people who have tried this game, sound effects appear to be working perfectly for me.
This game only supports 4:3 aspect ratio but will try to launch in widescreen if available, leading to the top and bottom of the screen being cropped. However, this is a known issue that also applies in Windows.
