A lot of tinkering was necessary to get this running. If using Arch and an Nvidia card, make sure lib32-amdvlk is not installed. To get the Origin launcher to install, set your launch options to
PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%
Then to start the game, change your launch options to
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
Without that, Origin won't even launch.

Overall (online):Excellent
I had problems last time launching Origin using Vulkan and had to use the launch option PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1. Doing this would allow the game to start but was very slow and stuttery. After opting out of the Steam beta program, I was able to use Vulkan instead of Wine's D3D and the game ran perfectly after using PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1
