I'm running at 1440p, medium graphics, fluid gaming 90% of the time after game launch.
Very frequent (90%) FPS drop + crackling sound when going in and then out of menus (e.g. inventory). Solvable in 80% of the cases by complete game restart or in 20% of cases by reloading a savegame. Sometimes I hit F9 10 times until I get the initial FPS back.
Also partially solvable without reloading by setting Dynamic FidelityFX CAS (AMD GPU) -> essentially reduce resolution, but then the game doesn't look as good. I have the feeling that the method doesn't actually do any upscaling (super resolution) but merely reduces it. Same effect when I switch to 1080p, but that looks crappy on a 4k 27" screen, obviously.
It is super frustrating because I know my GPU can handle 1440p. Sometimes I can play for an hour using this as long as I don't go into menus.
Seems to me like a serious memory leak issue.
Sudden stutter in graphics after about 1 hour of play, can only be fixed by steam client + game restart.
