Game has to build shaders, so it doesn't play as well for a bit.
Whilst building shaders, Ping goes through the roof, other than that, works great!
This has absolutely nothing to do with the game(I think), if you play on the Steam Deck with keyboard and mouse, make sure it is in Desktop Mode, otherwise Mouse freaks out on gaming mode.
It played perfectly, good job Respawn for allowing EAC through Proton!
gamemoderun %command%
It plays perfectly! good job and thanks to the team at Respawn for enabling EAC for Proton.
Make sure to get the Apex Legends DXVK Cache, It will help tremondously! You can find it on reddit. It helps keep framerate stable, as you're not building the cache as you play.
It played good for my Computer Specs at least. It had no issues, no audio issues, no visual degrading, it played good!
After an hour of playtime, I experienced a Crash, other than that, perfect!
The game plays pretty well! I put in a hour, it ran smoothly, an error will show up at the beginning, press ok, and the game will launch as normal. Controls work perfectly out the box.
Turn off Intro logos and Intro Videos.
I personally set Refresh Rate to 50, and the fps cap at 50.
It plays as good as it needs to, and anyone wanting to play this game on the Deck, let alone linux, will have a good time, no doubt.
Plays perfectly fine as long as you use Proton Experimental and Gamescope based off my experience.
gamescope -w 1920 -h 1080 -f -r 144 -- %command%
UI and Graphical Resolution seemed low at first launch. Gamescope helped fix it.
Gamescope isn't needed if you don't mind the lower resolution that it may play at, otherwise, just use gamescope.
The game worked perfectly! I had one bug, but I also had it on windows where some of the icons might be mixed up or off. If you experience that, just delete the config.ini file in your game installation folder.
It played perfectly, same as windows. Voice Recognition works, thanks to the wonderful developers! No Slowdowns, No Issues.
Played Perfectly, Voice Chat works perfectly. I was able to connect to and host lobbies.
Game worked perfectly, I was able to carry off from my save on the Steam Deck and continue playing just as normal at High Settings!
The game plays almost perfectly on the Steam Deck! Saves go to the cloud as normal and can be continued to played on PC
I would turn down Shadow Textures to Medium. There are parts of the game that might slow down due to the environment. Nothing to do with Linux but rather the hardware itself. The game plays great and is an enjoyable experience on the Steam Deck LCD at 60Hz. I don't do much testing with Wattage, so unfortunately I cannot give much information on that, but I get about 2 hours on the Steam Deck when playing Tales of Berseria.
Whether you play Campaign or Multiplayer, I didn't have a good experience.
I noticed that on Linux, The game did not look as good as the windows counterpart, High Settings on a Windows machine looks much nicer than High Settings on a Linux Machine
While on Windows 10, I'm able to get a smooth framerate with no dips in performance typically. On Pop!_OS, Performance was no where near as good. There was a lot of stuttering, and overall, it just wasn't a good experience
I believe a typical gamer would have a good time, Turn off VSync and you're all set.
I found that it stutters for a few minutes at first, but give it a bit and it'll run great.
