Installed physx through protontricks
Installed DAO: Ultimate on Steam on Linux, booted to the launcher menu with no tinkering but would not launch the game itself. Installed protontricks, installed physx, game works as expected. Running on Ubuntu 24.04 running Wayland, AMD hardware, Steam flatpak, protontricks flatpak.
The first time I tried to load it, all I got was a black screen. Killed that steam session, restarted, and it loaded to the shader cache generation and then to the main intro and screen just fine.
Playing on a Thelio Mira with an Nvidia 4080 Super running Fedora 41. I had to install the Nvidia drivers from RPM Fusion's test updates: driver version 560.35 gave me an error that I needed 560.70. However, when I upgrade to 560.57 in the RPM Fusion test updates repo, it worked fine and is flawless so far. I have it on Ultra graphics settings with Ultra ray tracing.
