Works flawlessly. No crashes, freezes etc. You may need to turn VSync on or limit FPS with something like libstrangle so that the game doesn't run with uncapped FPS.
Also I've played it in 21:9 (hex editing Assembly-CSharp.dll; see http://www.wsgf.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=163700#p163700)
You must use D9VK with Proton to prevent "invisible" textures ( PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 %command% ). "Over ther Rainbow" level from the 1st world is a good one to see the issue. Another good level, much later though, is "Swimming with Stars" from the sea world. Eel-like creatures have only heads, bodies are invisible without D9VK. Rare minor visual artifacts are still present, but I name them rare and minor for a reason.
Lol, I thought that was a feature of the game, but that appeared to be a bug of Wine or whatever. My struggles will end now :D
Other than that Rayman Origins runs perfectly, highly recommend for family playthrough!
Use Proton from GloriousEggroll - Proton-6.0-GE-1, otherwise you'll get no in-game movies on current Proton 5.13-5.
Proton-6.0-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Proton-6.0-GE-1
SDL_AUDIODRIVER=alsa %command%
I couldn't launch the game cause it insta-crashed just like in several other reports here, was related to audio.
But friendly Linux gaming community helped, thanks:
