ESO stop works after upgrade ubuntu to 20.10
After last Ubuntu update, from 20.04 to 20.10, ESO (steam linux) stopped works in my computer and I'm trying to fix this problem. The game not open, just a black screen and a message that program is not responding.
Some things that have I done:
- I tryied run the game using wine-5.21 (Staging) with vulkan 1.2.141 and the game opens, but it was not possibile loggin in game because I am a steam user of ESO.
- Currently, to try fix this problem, I did download and install more recently driver from NVIDIA (455.45.01).
- My steam is updated and using Proton 5.13-2.
- I uninstall and reinstall ESO too and the problem was not fixed.
I put ESO log file in http://saulo.arisa.com.br/eso/
I can't downgrade NVIDIA driver becouse more recently versions helps World of Warcraft run better.
I can't play ESO since october :( and I don't know what to do anymore...
Using Steam from Snap, on Ubuntu, the game does not start when the launcher's play button is clicked. I installed steam through apt and the game ran normally, without having to change anything from the default.
Do not use steam from snap.
