Froze twice, second time had to hard reset my system. Now continues to auto exit.
It shows no ping in multiplayer. Borks online play, all servers kick for no ping
stuttering, frame tearing
Will not show a ping, which breaks multiplayer since there are no more official servers and every privately ran server has a bot that kicks no ping players.
Crashes system, sigterm from tty can't even kill it once it starts freezing
The game launches, gets to its loading screen, then freezes. It then asks to send a report, and if you click yes or no, your entire system locks up. I have to drop to tty in order to use sigterm to try and kill it, it refuses to respond to any signal. Shutdown hangs on "waiting on process DaysGone.exe", I have to hard reset. Basically it is acting as a virus at this point lol I have used multiple versions of proton all with the same effect.
Works great on my PC and on my Steam Deck, my Steam Deck even runs 30 FPS smooth on a 1080P monitor.
Works better on Linux than windows, at least for my hardware. When I play on windows I crash frequently, on Linux I have not had this issue.
1 pixel white border, known issue and not noticable while playing tbh
Works perfectly, using proton hotfix. Uses a LOT of resources so might explain others' issues. Fedora 41, Steam flatpak
I have the high resolution DLC added, and it uses about 18-19GB of VRAM while playing. Running 2k at 120 FPS with frame gen. This is the first time that I have ever seen a game use this much VRAM consistently. It uses between 25%-40% of my CPU, and on average only 10-12GB of system RAM. The reality is, with this game you need high power semi-modern hardware. I have not had any issues, stuttering, lag, etc, but I also have a powerful system. They made this game to be resource hungry, at least for now I would say use powerful hardware or wait to see if they optimize it.
