eval $( echo mangohud "%command%" | sed "s/Launcher\/LariLauncher.exe'.*/bin\/bg3_dx11.exe'/" )
Running perfectly so far.
PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=100 %command%
Initially had awful audio crackling (on USB3 attached HP-A3 DAC)
Seems to be resolved with PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=100 (60 still had some flutters in brief test)
Hope the +100ms won't be a problem for timing/QTEs
Superb game so far
Update to earlier report. While PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=100
resolved my audio crackling I wasn't satisfied with the additional audio latency, especially with audio cues for parry timing. Adjusting PulseAudio fragment settings as below also resolved the crackling without adding latency.
/etc/pulse/daemon.conf
default-fragments = 8
default-fragment-size-msec = 5
Working fine in DX11 mode with GE-Proton.
Previously had issues with native (refused to fullscreen) and Proton Experimental (very low brightness/gamma made somewhat playable with ingame slider but still not great, wacky mouse sensitivity).
mangohud %command%
Occasional texture flickering on some items in menus
Working great out of the box, only added mangohud. Getting 80+FPS 4K Ultra FSR performance.
Have not tried DLSS.
Spent an afternoon trying various versions of Proton, dx9/11, lib overrides, winetricks etc. and at best could get a crash with dxvk malloc error at the loading screen. After upgrading kernel (to 6.5) and GPU drivers (535.161.07) the game runs flawlessly with GE Proton 8, others untested. Very happy to finally play Civ V on Linux!
