Potential slight hitch when party members enter loading screens (loading into the game, new area, etc). But that happened in Windows too.

I suspected something like this was causing my problem. But this is my first time playing games on Linux and didnt know where to start. Spent the whole day reading many things and piecing together all the clues.
Software & Updates also didn't indicate a new driver version was out. Ended up finding out about ubuntu-drivers tool and updated my drivers to 545, after reading the link above.
gamemoderun %command% -FSRFG
crackle might happen when loading anything, but might be okay afterwards
not smooth despite high fps (sustainably 75-90) with mostly high settings. Choppy.
steam overlay doesnt work on normal Proton, had to use GE-Proton
