Game launches, can change settings, but crashes constantly

I can launch the game, go into settings and change anything I want, but once I actually start the game, often I can't even get past the character generation portion. It hard crashes the entire system, forcing a reboot. One time I finally did make it past character creation but it immediately crashed at the first cinematic. So the game is unplayable.

Using Proton 6.3.8 I can't even get the game to launch. Using Proton Experimental it'll launch but can't get past initial screen.

Requires Bleeding Edge Proton Experimental. Which makes it work!! yay!! But still some issues. Give it some time.
Performance:Slight Performance Problems
Settings on Low, Med, or High still result in a significant freezing once per 5 seconds or so which makes it very hard to steer. Will continue to play around with settings.
Cannot thank the proton devs enough for all their hard work!
