Launches on wrong monitor, have to use KDE Window settings to force it on my main monitor.
Framerate tanks in crowded areas. Framerate also lowers over time, restarting the game 'resets' this
The devs have said they are working on Steam Deck performance, so hopefully the performance issues will be solved soon.
Performance drops significantly when entering some areas. Can be fixed by switching on FSR, setting the preset to ultra performance, back to anti-aliasing and turning it off again. Yes.
It runs fine, but I need to occasionally go in the settings and reset the graphics to get the fps back to normal.
Runs decent in early game, terrible in late game.
Throughout whole game: random stutters when moving around The lower you go, the slower the game runs. Gets very noticeable when entering the jungle.
Proton-5.9-GE-5-ST
Valve's Proton 5.0-9 has issues with AZERTY keyboards in Noita (not being able to select/switch to some wands/items in the hotbar). I solved this by using a custom fork of Proton: https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom
Performance fix:
Use a kernel with f-sync patches to improve loading time, frame rate and general performance when entering lower floors.
Make sure the Proton release you use supports f-sync
I use this kernel (OpenSUSE): https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home%3AAishou%3Afsync-kernel/kernel-default
Other kernels with f-sync patches: https://liquorix.net/, https://xanmod.org/, Zen kernel, TKG ...
Audio crackling fix:
In /etc/pulse/daemon.conf
:
Set default-fragments
to 5
Set default-fragment-size-msec
to 2
Broken on AMD hardware, works on Intel/NVIDIA hardware
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 VKD3D_DISABLE_EXTENSIONS=VK_EXT_mesh_shader DXVK_FILTER_DEVICE_NAME="NVIDIA RTX A2000 8GB Laptop GPU" %command%
On AMD hardware, black screen on startup with memory leak until RAM runs out (even with another 32GB swap it fills it up...). Performance is acceptable on my Nvidia laptop with mentioned tweaks. Run vulkaninfo to get GPU name.
