Using proton, it crashes as the game is exited. The very last black screen as it is shut down. Not a big deal, will try other versions of proton as I play.
Linux native client runs fine. Cannot figure out where 3rd party maps go in linux.

//steamapps/compatdata/221540/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/DG2
Youll have to create the 'DG2' directory in My Documents.
Get maps from : dg2freemaps.com Steam does not support 3rd party maps anymore. When unzipping maps from dg2freemaps, its a folder within a folder. Unzip, then copy over. Launcher will crash if the custom map isnt in the right spot.
Took an hour to process the vulkan shaders on the very first startup. The default DX11 was glicthy. Switch that to Vulkan and all gliches disappeared.
