Issue
The v1.1 R18 patch (which you can find on the publisher's website) creates a DlcBundles
folder inside the game directory. the game is unable to utilize the folder contents, and loads on the boot screen infinitely.
Workaround
There is a workaround for this, by copying (not cutting, copying) the DlcBundles
folder to the YurikkoLife_Data
folder, the game will be able to use the R18 patch.
How do I know if my game is patched?
The game's patched/unpatched state is indicated in the bottom left corner, if it's the regular Steam version (i.e. steam v1.10
), it's unpatched, if it's patched it should have (R18)
as part of the version name (i.e. steam v1.10 R18
)
Game works oob
Everything works and is playable.
Installed official patch using proton
Some type of key input manager crash
LC_CTYPE=ja_JP.UTF-8 %command%
Indeed only happens on the English version, both as is and using the restoration patch.
launch options
The error dialog box is oddly in Japanese, all the Japanese characters won't display properly unless
LC_CTYPE
is set toja_JP.UTF-8
LANG
.LC_ALL
, and using either or both with thelocales/run.sh
script did not work. OnlyLC_CTYPE
shows all the characters (figured this out usingPROTON_LOG
).I've tried
PROTON_USE_SECCOMP=1
, same errorsI've tried
PROTON_OLD_GL_STRING
,PROTON_NO_XIM
, I've even triedPROTON_USE_XALIA
, same errors.
errors
It gives two error pop ups, the second pops up after closing the first
- The error displayed I can't fully read (particularly the kanji). If I could, I wouldn't have to play the English version.
