Does not even start
Tried with different versions of Proton (Experimental, 6.3-4, 5.13-6), using "PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%" launch option, nothing helps. When I try to start the game, the green Play button turns blue and displays "Cancel" and after a second it displays Play again. No window pops up.
Better than Windows
Genuinely more stable than playing in Windows. Never had a single crash.
Mods work fine too (Megahack standalone, Geode)
Please don't bother.
All of the unique tricks are broken in some way.
The game does run, and it appears fine for the most part. But if you don't know what to expect from the game and what it should be doing, you will end up utterly confused and your experience will be ruined.

Tried latest vanilla Proton, GE 9.7-1, and as recommended by another user here 7.0-6. With or without PROTON_USE_WINED3D set. No window shows up and the Play button returns after 3 seconds. Disappointing.
