Fullscreen was too big until I removed fractional scalling
If you have a HiDPI screen you are likely to use UI scaling in Gnome. Unfortunately, this confuses some games: a 150% scale screen is interpreted as having 150% of the real pixels by the game, and it becomes "zoomed".
Note that using "fullscreen windowed" and alt-tabbing the Steam window, the game gets the correct size back when in the background of the Steam (or any other) window.
Solution: set Scale back to 100% under "Settings -> Display" in GNOME (and then activate bigger fonts in the accessibility settings, if the text is too small).
