It's paper mario on linux, it works almost exactly as intended.
So sometimes pressing a button on the keyboard or moving the mouse swaps you from gamepad to m+kb controls, the only way to go back however is to completely relaunch for some reason.
Works as intended
Even multiplayer worked fine with my buddies that are on other versions of Linux and with a buddy on Windows.
Works exactly as the Windows version works.
Multiplayer works exactly as it did on Windows and I can play with my friends still runing Windows.
I can't add anything more without going on about how much I love this game.
If you use any official version of proton the game will be unplayable, multiple important menus in game (like the fleet management screen) will have the backgrounds replaced with one of those old TV test bar screens. Use GE-Proton to avoid this, something to do with video codecs?
Works exactly as intended
Online multiplayer works as it did on Windows, even works when heavily modded and accross operating systems.
Game runs better on Linux than Windows in my experience, the game went from roughly 25-30 fps to around 35-40 on my old ass machine.
Works as intended.
Oddly enough my roommate had issues with proton, adding -vulkan to his launch string fixed it and now multiplayer works fine.
Tried 6 versions of Proton, tried reinstalling, tried forcing vulkan, tried rebooting (obviously) and every combination therein
Game does not function PopOs anymore, it just loads the game logo and the spinning symbol for the loading screen then crashes reliably.
Works as intended, more or less. Remember to un-mute before booting? and force -vulkan after the 1.0 update
-vulkan
If you boot the game while your OS is muted (at least in Pop!) it crashes at the loading screen
Small stuttering when moving around initially, goes away after a few minutes.
Game crashes if you boot it while muted every time
