The game will stutter every now and then when using regular Proton, same for Experimental and Proton GE, To get rid of stutters you have to use a Proton fork that enables NTsync, and use a recent kernel with NTsync supports. I have not yet found a way to prevent the game from freezing after playing for a bunch of hours
